How long have you lived/worked in the area?
Six Years in the area, one year right on Oak Street in Roanoke.
Life Story: Short version of where you’re originally from, where you grew up, other places/states/countries you’ve lived in, and what led you to this career.
I was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, lived in Indianapolis, Indiana for a couple years, but basically grew up in West Central Illinois along the Mississippi River. I attended the University of Kansas. I have worked in large corporate business and owned several small businesses along the way. About 20 years ago I went back to focusing on the one thing I had wanted to do since being 6 years old. Helping people with investments. I am constantly honored by the relationships I have been able to build with my clients over the years. As our group seeked to expand into Texas and my wife’s position was being relocated; all things fell together and resulted in a move to this area back in 2014. We could not be happier.
What was your biggest challenge when starting this career?
Realizing I could not do everything for everyone.
What is the hardest and the best part of your work?
I get to help people discern and design a financial roadmap customized to their dreams and their goals.
Who is your ideal customer/client?
Individuals and Small Business owners who control their own destiny, and want to make sure their future is as successful as their present.

If we come across each other in the town, where would we be and what would you be doing?
On Oak street working, walking or eating.
What’s something about you that would surprise most people?
I co-owned a Comedy Club back in the 90’s.
If you could advise yourself back when you were 20, what would you say?
Don’t just “think outside the box” also remember at times to “live outside the box.”
